Abstract
The issue of water loss is increasingly present, although there are plenty of tools to “fight”. The work to be proposed is an innovative approach for the simulation of water networks in order to carry out a renovation program derived from an analysis of the current state of networks and predict future time trends unavailability of hydraulic and mechanical. We wanted to compare the two methods of analysis, with the balance of the course, the most innovative “conjugate gradient method” of Todini, a technique that guarantees a strictly convergent quick resolution of network and independent of any initial solution. This method has been used the modified version, which is based on a new approach, called PDA ( Pressure-Driven Analysis), or Head-Driven Analysis, this program has the task of analyzing a network of water supply from a point of view of reliability , simulating the behavior for a good time to define a life cycle, subject to the occurrence of causes of failure. And ‘an algorithm that simulates the operation of a water system generating the failure times, repair times of network elements and to evaluate the hydraulic behavior of the network resulting in the breakage determined.
